FEATURE FILM CASTING CALL

For the new feature film “Maalstroom” by Teddy Cherim, produced by Graniet Film, we are looking for a young girl for the role of Sesuna.

“Maalstroom” tells the story of a group of refugees travelling hidden aboard a cargo ship through Europe. It is an intense, human and hopeful story about survival, family and displacement.

For this role, we are looking for a girl aged 8–10 with Eritrean roots, based in Belgium or the Netherlands.

Speaking Tigrinya is a strong plus.
No acting experience is required.

Filming is scheduled for summer 2026
in Belgium and the Netherlands.
