The advertising breaks of Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026 have become one of Hollywood’s most coveted platforms for dropping movie trailers, with studios paying upwards of millions of dollars for a 30-second spot in front of what’s routinely one of the year’s largest TV audiences.

This year’s lineup, according to Variety and entertainment insiders, includes a wide range of highly anticipated films that span genres from sci-fi to animation and horror.

One of the marquee projects expected to appear is ‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu’, the franchise’s return to the big screen since ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ in 2019. Directed by Jon Favreau and starring Pedro Pascal and Grogu, the film continues the story of the legendary bounty hunter and his young companion in a post-Empire galaxy. Another key trailer around the Super Bowl will be for Steven Spielberg’s ‘Disclosure Day’, his return to classic sci-fi themes about humanity’s encounter with the unknown. The teaser already released online suggests mysterious discoveries and a global quest for the truth, and it has pulled in millions of views on YouTube — a strong indicator of audience interest in Spielberg’s alien-themed return to big-screen storytelling.

Family audiences should also be treated to a brand-new look at Universal’s ‘Minions 3’, the next chapter in the globally profitable animated franchise.

Horror fans aren’t left out: Paramount Pictures has released the official trailer for ‘Scream 7’, bringing Sidney Prescott back to Woodsboro for another round with Ghostface — this time with personal stakes as the killer targets her daughter.

While ‘Michael’ (the biopic on Michael Jackson) from Lionsgate will likely premiere its trailer to the Super Bowl audience. They released the trailer for the film less than 24 hours ago and it has already racked up an impressive 3.1m views, proving that the King of Pop is still as relevant as ever.

Pixar are also expected to use their Super Bowl spots to push two of their 2026 animated films that already have official trailers online. For audiences anticipating Pixar’s original adventure ‘Hoppers’, the studio has already dropped the official Hoppers trailer on the Pixar YouTube channel, giving a look at its off-beat humor and world-building ahead of its March release:

Likewise, Pixar’s ‘Toy Story 5’ has an official teaser that introduces the sequel’s new tech-tinged storyline and returning characters – perfect fodder for a Super Bowl spot aimed at both long-time fans and general viewers:
