Renowned casting director Daniel Edwards, known for his exceptional work on acclaimed series such as ‘Heartstopper’, ‘Showtrial’, ‘Malpractice’, and ‘Responsible Child’, has announced an exciting open casting call for a bold new adaptation of the classic tale ‘Treasure Island’.

Edwards is seeking a talented young actor to play the lead role of Jim Hawkins in what promises to be a thrilling and fresh take on Robert Louis Stevenson’s legendary story. The production, set to film internationally between January and April 2026, offers a unique opportunity for aspiring actors, with no professional experience required — just passion, talent, and a readiness for adventure.

It’s the year 1788 & On the surface Jim is just a timeless sullen teenager,
embarrassed of his mother & a deep yearning for something more … out there!
But his awkwardness hides an intelligence second to none, with a savant like skill that will lead him across the world & into adventures & danger beyond his imagination.

We are looking for an exceptional confident young actor who can lead this series & beyond.
This is a multi layered role that will require a wide range of emotions, both humour & rage
& a huge amount of athleticism.

This role will require options – meaning we will need to secure availability for potential further seasons – this will be discussed if you are asked to audition.
