
HBO has just unveiled nine new cast members for its highly anticipated ‘Harry Potter’ series, further fueling excitement for the magical reboot. With each casting announcement, the wizarding world continues to take shape, promising a fresh yet faithful retelling of J.K. Rowling’s iconic saga.
The castings are as follows:
Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley
Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy
Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy
Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan
Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil
Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown
Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley
Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley
Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge
These actors will join the already announced distinguished ensemble cast including: John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.
Production is slated to commence in the summer of 2025, with the series expected to premiere on HBO in 2026. The show aims to delve deeper into the Wizarding World, offering fans a more comprehensive exploration of the beloved universe.
