Emily Jacobs Casting, the Casting Director behind shows such as ‘Why Didn’t They Ask Evans’, ‘Tabby McTat’ and ‘Carnival Row’, as well as AppleTV short film ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’ recently posted this Open Casting looking for a lead role in a Feature Film currently being developed by Film4.

The post reads:

Feature Film

LUKE (Lead Role)
Male, Caucasian, 13-15 years old, witty, thoughtful, frustrated by the world.

No previous acting experience is necessary.

Karen Lindsay-Stewart and Emily Jacobs are searching for a lead role in a feature film in development with Film4.

If you fit the brief, please send:
– Name / Age / Location
– A short video telling a story or joke about best / worst thing to happen in your life (approx 2 mins long)

If you are under 16 you must be submitted by a parent / legal guardian / teacher.

The quality of the video doesn’t matter – just have fun!

The film is in development and does not have confirmed shoot dates.

Karen and Emily are both DBS checked and have a history of casting children (Harry Potter, The Secret Garden, The Velveteen Rabbit)’
