Shaheen Baig Casting has just put out an Open Casting Call on their Instagram, searching for a leading role in a BBC feature film to be directed by Shane Meadows.

The captions reads as follows:

‘NEW CASTING SEARCH – Please read this post carefully!

We are searching for a 14-17 year old female to play a lead role in a Shane Meadows film. Please note this is for the UK nationwide only.

Please read the slides carefully and watch Shane’s video message! You must upload a photograph AND a video for your submission to be viewed correctly.

We are not casting any other roles at this time and only focusing on this character. Represented actors we would appreciate you going through the usual channels and not using this method to make contact. This breakdown will be sent out to all agents in the coming days.

We expect a large amount of submissions and can only make contact with those we wish to take further on in the casting process.
