Last night was the 97th Academy Awards at The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, and what a night it was.

The independent film ‘Anora’ emerged as the night’s biggest winner, securing five Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress.

Adrien Brody won Best Actor for his role in ‘The Brutalist’, a film that also garnered awards for Best Cinematography and Best Original Score. Kieran Culkin was honored as Best Supporting Actor for ‘A Real Pain’, while Zoe Saldaña received the Best Supporting Actress award for her performance in ‘Emilia Pérez’.

A heartfelt tribute was paid to the late Gene Hackman who died very recently, with Morgan Freeman honouring the legendary actor’s contributions to cinema.
