The US Box Office truly takes flight for the first time this year with the release of ‘Captain America: Brave New World‘. Although, critically it hasn’t lived up to the high expectations set by previous Captain America films, “Brave New World” holds an approval rating of 49% based on 293 reviews form RT, with an average rating of 5.5/10. The consensus notes that while Anthony Mackie adeptly assumes the mantle of Captain America, the film feels overly routine and cluttered with unengaging “easter eggs,” lacking the distinction of a standalone adventure for the new leader of the Avengers.
Despite mixed critical reviews, it has demonstrated a strong box office performance. Fans of Marvel were hoping that this installment would get the franchise back on track. Although this may not come to fruition, Brave New World will entertain audiences throughout, not to mention the very exciting appearance of Red Hulk.

‘Paddington In Peru‘ also debuted this week, the third instalment in the beloved Paddington film series, which has garnered a range of critical responses since its release. While many appreciate its continued charm and heart, some critics note it doesn’t quite reach the heights of its predecessors.
Debuting in the 2nd spot is by no means a loss for the hat-wearing bear, as ‘Paddington in Peru’ has still managed to carve out a strong presence at the box office despite stiff competition. While it fell short of overtaking ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ for the top spot, the film’s solid opening reflects the enduring popularity of the Paddington franchise and the adoration audiences have for the marmalade-loving bear.
