The weekly box office results are in for January 24th -30th.

Reviews, Ratings, Rotten Tomatoes be damned, Mark Wahlberg risks it all to to soar to number 1. After a lacklustre week at the box office, ‘Flight Risk’ crawls ahead of the comedy ‘One of Them Days’ to secure the top spot. According to IMDB, ‘Flight Risk’ follows ”A pilot that transports an Air Marshal accompanying a fugitive to trial. As they cross the Alaskan wilderness, tensions soar and trust is tested, as not everyone on board is who they seem”.

Wahlberg who boasts a career total of over $5.4 billion at the worldwide aggregate box office, is accompanied by Director Mel Gibson in this action thriller by Lionsgate. With a low budget of $26m and regardless of 25% rating on the Tomatometer we would now expect to see the film make a profit by the end of its theatrical run. Lionsgate who is in much need of a win, will be pleased with this after a disappointing 2024. Owing to the dull performances of ‘Borderlands’ and ‘The Crow’ specifically.

The rest of the table looks as follows:
