Rachel Sheridan recently shared this Open Casting for a new major TV series produced by Sister Pictures. The show is called ‘The Dream Lands’ and will be aired on BBC One.

The post reads:

‘Rachel Sheridan Casting is searching for the following role:

BOY

• Age 8-10 (we will consider boys up to the age of 12 as long as they look 8-10 and their voice is not breaking).
• Authentic working class London/Kent accent.
• He has a huge amount of energy, always cracking jokes.
• Mixed Race (the character has a black Father and white Mother).
• Must have brown eyes.

This is a younger version of another character already cast, so please do not apply if your child doesn’t match this criteria.

Filming will be a few weeks between mid February – beginning of June 2025.

Please note, no performance / acting experience required.
If successful the role will be paid. Production will arrange child licenses with school / local education authority, and cover travel and accommodation for the child and a chaperone. Filming in Margate and/or Bristol.

Applicants must have a parent or guardian apply on their behalf.
