The RSC announced on social media earlier this week that it will be holding open auditions for Matilda and her classmates for the UK & Ireland tour of the show ‘Matilda The Musical’. The caption for the post read:

“Maggots! We are looking for Crunchem Hall’s class of 2025/26 to join the touring cast of #MatildaTheMusical. 📚

The auditions will be held in Manchester in the UK from February to March 2025.

The casting breakdown is as follows:

• All children must be between the ages of 8 & 13.
• Boys must be under 4ft 10″ tall and girls must be under 4ft 6″ tall.
• For the role of Matilda, children must be under 4ft 3″ tall.
• All boys must have unbroken voices.
• Children must live within one hour of central Manchester.
