‘Happy’ is described as a darkly comic take on disastrous family dynamics, centred on a painfully awkward meeting between a young man and his partner’s relatives. John Carroll Lynch directs the film from a screenplay by Ira Steven Behr, the writer known for work on ‘Outlander’. Leading the cast is Asa Butterfield as Myles, with Kyra Sedgwick, Brittany O’Grady, and Patti Harrison also starring alongside Mark Strong.
