‘Custom of the Country’ is an upcoming screen adaptation of Edith Wharton’s 1913 novel, written and directed by Josie Rourke. Rourke previously directed ‘Mary Queen of Scots’, and her work often centers on period worlds shaped by ambition, power, and social maneuvering.
