‘Neuromancer’ is an upcoming TV series adaptation of William Gibson’s seminal 1984 cyberpunk novel. The narrative centres on Henry Case, a once-prominent “console cowboy”—a data thief—who, after betraying his employers, is neurologically damaged to prevent him from accessing cyberspace. Desperate and desolate in Chiba City, Japan, Case is approached by the enigmatic mercenary Molly, who offers him a chance at redemption and restoration in exchange for undertaking a perilous mission involving artificial intelligence and corporate espionage.
